The miniUSB Programmer is a USB to Serial (UART) converter with a 6 ways female pin header connector that is the standard programming interface for all the Nest carrier boards (except USB Nest that has already a FTDI converter onboard).
The Programmer provides 5V power supply to the boards and it’s fully compatible with the IDE. It also resets Flyport using the DTR signal.

  • USB interface: miniUSB B-type (cable not provided)
  • Programing interface: 6 ways pin header at 2.54mm (0.10”) pitch
  • Reset: It can reset FLYPORT modules using a MOSFET onboard
  • Power Supply: Powered by USB port (5V)
  • Power output : 5V
  • Dimensions: 51 x 27,5 mm

How to connect to a Nest

On each Nest carrier board (excluding the USB Nest) there's a common connector (normally J5) that fits this MiniUSB Programmer. On your programmer there's a ">" symbol next to the black connector. On the Nest board there's exactly the same sign (">"). Both signs have to be on the same side as in the following picture:
